RE-BRANDING MY LOGO

OLD LOGO- Created in College

NEW LOGO- Present day

  • The first step I took towards re-branding myself was updating my logo. I had designed my first ever logo at the age of 17 when I first started out as a concept artist looking to go into 2D animation. I had initially wanted my initials in my character's afro because I feel like that symbolised carrying your name around proudly. Eventually, I decided it was time to simplify the design of my logo further. I decided to put my initials on my character face rather than her hair. The reason for this I wanted to had this shiny light around her head to symbolise the flowing creativity that stems from my brain. I then added Angolan patterns on my character's headwrap to attach identity to my logo and embed a piece of my culture within my logo.

TWEAKING MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL

BEFORE

  • My first look of my YouTube channel was quite bare for 3D character performance animator. I began to have a sort of reality check that I was taking my first steps into the industry and that I needed a place where all my work could be store and easily accessible for industry to have a look at. I had no more than 3-4 animations present on my channel, which wasn't really a good look in my eyes.

AFTER

  • In developing my YouTube channel I had began to add any finished animations I had completed over the three years. I felt like this became a good practice for me because it enabled me to stay organised and ontop of my work without the fear of losing them. This helped me to gain confidence in being able to publically have my work on a virtual display.

STAYING SOCIALLY ACCESSIBLE

LINKEDIN

  • Social media has been the driving force for creatives over the years. As someone who spends majority of my spare time on running my social media accounts, I love how this was another great way for industry to discover your talent. Instagram was my first approach into stay socially connected with the animation industry. Before hand my Instagram account had my old artworks of celebrities that I  had drawn in college. Later, I  decided to archive some of the artworks so that my account could become a reflection of me as an animator. Another way I had try to stay socially connected with the industry was 'LinkedIn'. LinkedIn has been the professional way I have managed to keep in contact with those within the indsutry. Through LinkeIn I was able to reach out to an aspiring, freelancer animator called ' Kofi-Opoku Ansah'.

  • This was my final design for my business card. Although this was my first time creating one, It felt nice to branch out into different ways I could self promote myself. I believe that business cards are a great way to find potential clients outside of your comfort zone or social media. I decided to have my new logo on the front and bag, with all the ways to reach me.

MY UPDATED CV

  • In all my experience of making any kind of CV, I wanted to make sure that my CV provided all the need to know basis about me as person, my skills and work experience. It was imperative for me to make my CV simple but detailed enough to give employers an insight of what I could do and every software that I had experience in.

INVOICE SHEET

Invoice Sheet .png

This was a simple invoice sheet designed for clients when looking to do business with my in the future. I believe an invoice sheet is more so a legal document that keeps a respectful business relationship between myself and a client. Refer to Finance page for more info.
